The Texas Parks and Wildlife magazine recently published an article about the different wildlife centers across the state of Texas and how their efforts are helping to rescue and rehabilitate thousands of animals each year. The Wildlife Center of Texas was one of the organizations featured in the article. You can read the entire story by clicking here

2011 Open House a Big Success

The Wildlife Center of Texas Open House of 2011 was a wonderful event. Everyone enjoyed the fun, food and fellowship during the evening. The training room was the central gathering area while visitors enjoyed light refreshments, listened to the wonderful sounds of stringed instruments, browsed through the silent auction and raffle items, and visited with volunteers. Visitors were then sent on a self-guided tour that took them through 15 stations around the Wildlife Center. Two new wildlife ambassadors were introduced, the white-tail hawk and the Harris hawk. The attached picture shows some of the generous donations that were brought to the Wildlife Center of Texas during our Open House. Stars were added to the tree when monetary donations were made.
